Farm Tour
Many of our ponies and fieldhunters have the luxury of living in paddocks with large run-in sheds. They are blanketed and clipped appropriately in season for this natural way of living. The southern exposure provides shelter from the north west elements in the winter and creates plenty of shade in the summer months. These horses thrive both physically and mentally in this peaceful setting. The riding ring is 100' x 200' with show jumps for training and natural all weather footing. We also have a 4 acre groomed and irrigated grass jumping field. There is a show course of fences set up for practice or pleasure. Our outside hunt course covers several acres with
many cross-country style fences. Our students enjoy taking their lessons
there in preparation for hunter pacing or foxhunting. There are also miles
of trails adjacent to the farm where our riders and horses can leave the
hunt course and enjoy the thrill of galloping and jumping over thousands
of acres of diverse terrain. There are views from these trails of both
the nearby Atlantic Ocean and Peconic Bay. Our local hunt club hosts an
annual hunter pace over this land which is right in our backyard. |
