Pony Camp

We're so excited about this season's Pony Camp.

We're very serious about our riding program, but Pony Camp is about Safety first; FUN second! Both the beginner and the experienced rider will find it a magical week. Everyone will learn to care for a pony/horse; bring them in from the pasture, groom their own mount, tack-up and have daily riding lessons consisting of flat work, lots of cavaletti work, and jumping for the more advanced rider.

The arts and crafts and games are all horse related, and a great learning experience, too! Our younger campers especially like the horseshow games and kid size jumps on our beautiful jumping field. Our Blacksmith and Veterinarian spend time weekly, providing our campers lots of information as they tend to our school horses or show ponies.

Other activities include learning the care of the equipment, how to set up a jumping course, training young ponies in the round pen, and ground driving and driving our carriage ponies. We also learn all about preparing both horse and rider for the show ring; bathing, clipping, and braiding.

Camp starts Monday June 23rd, and runs weekly thru labor day, starting at 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. The cost is $475.00 per week. Campers bring their own lunch, come dressed to ride, bring with them a change of clothes, baseball hat, towel, etc. While we do provide the required safety approved helmets, it's recommended that each rider has their own.

Feel free to call for further information or stop by the farm to visit our lovely facility.
